Match Notes By El Cordobés

We continue in first place and it seems that the championship will be ours again. I believe that this was the worse game that we have played and we were really two teams with the amount of players that we had (that is great and demonstrates the desire that we have to play on this team). The truth is, it is difficult to play 22 minutes and have to leave. But there were not many alternatives. It seems to me that everybody wanted to be the savior of the team and in the end it was Scott who saved us. Although there are better players on other teams, as with any team or group, the difference between us and the rest of the teams is the continuity of players who we have and the desire that we all have to be on the team. As we all know we have had to leave several players off the team each season, and I believe that in the weeks to come we will not introduce any new players (if Scott is in agreement).

Returning again to the party, it is always bad to be the favorite and we are the best team from the last season and with so many players, we were the favorites for this game. They had nothing to lose since they did not have many players on the bench. They played calmly and they enjoyed the game. The next game we must try to enjoy the game. The defense was a little disorganized, but this was again because of the substitutions we had to do. The means that we also had fresh players and this was the difference.

The standout for the game was without doubt Scott, a small error and bad luck led to the goal, but 99% of the goalies would not have been able to stop it. Luckily there is something to improve on and only a professional goalie would have been able to cover that cross. He also allowed us the victory when incredibly he stopped the best forward one-on-one. He also demonstrated good reflects on several shots from 1-2 meters – without a doubt the MVP.

HM this is between Sebastian (unstoppable in defense, moving forward in attack) and Paulo the 'goleador' of the championship. I believe that I must give it to Paulo because of the goal.

In conclusion we must enjoy the game more, and I hope that we have the same desire to play. The championship is already almost a reality.
