Match Notes By El cordobés

Yes another victory and the Championship is very close. Yesterday was a good game. I agree with Scott regarding the frustation of the other teams and willing to beat us. I honestly think we play better most of the game and we capitalize goals that we missed in the pass. Our first goal was not a deflection. It started from a great defensive play from Matt (header) that went to midfield (defensive-offensive play), I took took posetion of the ball just pass mid-field and saw Charly Ruiz ready to sprint, their defense was sluggish to react and I send the ball over the defense, Charly beat the defense nicely and when the goal keeper was coming to the ball he finished over the head. Alex claim the assist since he told Charly to sprint, but this were 3 magical touches (header, pass over the defense and finished over the goal keeper) and goal. 1-0

The second goal was also a great kick (probably not to goal) from Charly. 2-0

They score one goal in the most unjustified play inside the box. I was next to the play and Raul (for the first time in the season) did not touch the player but the referee trying to keep their team on the game calls a penalty shot. Almost save by Scott and 2-1.

We will always be the team to beat as I mention in the past. Every team in the world wants to beat Boca Juniors and every 030 team in Montgomery County wants to beat La Tocadita 030. Two back-to-back Championship is not easy and very few teams can accomplish this. If we win this year Championship (and most likely we will) our legacy will be very difficult to match.

Vamos Toca 030!!!!

MVP: Charly Ruiz (two magical goals).
HM: Scott (many beautiful saves, his confidence in the goal and the whole team is so high that most of us were sure he was saving the penalty and it was very, very close).

El Cordobes.
