All of the games are played in Montgomery County. Toca Juniors may occasionally take part of State tournaments depending schedule availability. But we do not travel for our league games.

What else can I do as a potential player?
In order to compete in the league, every player has to pass a player-evaluation “test” which is conducted by the league. This is a requirement. You cannot be signed onto a team unless this has been successfully completed.

What is the player evaluation?

The MSI-Classic program looks provide the appropriate competitive atmosphere where players will excel and develop their soccer skills. Thus the league has set a minimum level of aptitude for the kids to complete consisting of an afternoon practice where basic drills are conducted. Their skills are evaluated and compared to the rest of the cohort.

For details please visit:
http://www.msisoccer.org/?page=classic-skills

What is the criteria used under the player evaluation?
The following document is the actual form used by the evaluators:
http://65.108.129.17/files/ClassicSkillsEvaluationCriteria.pdf

Can Toca Juniors help with the player evaluation?

The evaluations are conducted by volunteer coaches and we have no influence in the process. But if you are interested in playing for us and are planning on attending please let us know. We can offer details on scheduling and other administrative issues. I have attended the evaluation and have NOT completed it successfully…
If you have a true love for the sport and would really like to participate, we can sign you up as a wild card player. If you work hard you may be able to develop the skills necessary for to compete in the league.

What is a wild card player?
Each team has three wild cards, that is, three players can be signed up that have not passed the player evaluation. We intend to use these on players that may have been away from the sport or we think that can contribute significantly to the team in some form. We don not intend to use them for players that have simply avoided the evaluation. All players should attend this session, they are very important for the league and for us.

Do I need medical clearing to participate?
Yes, before you can take part of our practices you will need to fill out a medical release form and have it notarised. This is must. http://65.108.129.17/files/Medical_Release.pdf

When is Toca Juniors holding tryouts?
You should contact us directly and we will let you know of times and dates as we see them necessary. As we have not started holding regular practices, we cannot provide a list of dates and times.

How often does Toca Juniors practice, and Which days?
We will hold two practices a week. The days of the week depend on the consensus of the team and the coach. We normally recommend Tuesdays and Thursdays, but it makes no sense to hold a practice if most players cannot attend. We are flexible.

Can I meet the coaches?
A great way is to attend one of their games and see them in action!! Check our website or send us an email. You can chat with them after the game and get a Costl for his voice and how he explains himself. Remember, if you are going to join the club, you will listen to that voice week in and week out!
